Empowering Black Entrepreneurs through the Black Artrepreneur Coaching Program with the support from TD Bank Group

We are excited to share the news of the newly approved one-year support of the Black Artrepreneur Coaching Program! This groundbreaking initiative, presented by TD Bank Group, will empower talented Black Canadian artists and creative entrepreneurs in Southern Ontario.
About Our Black Artrepreneur Program: The Black Artrepreneur Program provides 13-weeks of entrepreneurial training designed specifically to support Black Canadian artists and creative entrepreneurs aged 18+ with enhancing their business skills. Through expert one-on-one professional services, participants will receive invaluable guidance in business and financial planning, marketing, mentoring, networking, and consumer development.
Unlocking Opportunities: With the aim of overcoming barriers of exclusion and developing meaningful capability in the arts sector amongst Black artists, this program holds tremendous potential for participants. By providing comprehensive Afrocentric business training, the Black Artrepreneur Coaching Program equips entrepreneurs in the arts space with the essential skills they need to succeed.
Benefits for Participants: This program offers a wide range of benefits for Black Artrepreneurs, including access to expert coaching to help create their business plans.
Ongoing Expert Coaching: In addition to the 13-week training, participants will have access to personalized one-on-one coaching services, custom business consulting, and financial planning. This ongoing support, provided in collaboration with Black-led business support organization Igniterr, aims to accelerate business development and financial prosperity. Igniterr’s team of experts offers a unique approach that combines coaching, training, community building, and referrals to professional services, ensuring a solid network and comprehensive support system. The Igniterr team understands the needs of BIPOC identifying entrepreneurs intimately. They tailor their services to the unique needs of Black and Indigenous entrepreneurial People of Colour.
The Black Artrepreneur Coaching Program aligns with TD's vision of fostering connections between diverse cultures through art. The program seeks to achieve the following impacts:
Sustainable Income for Black Canadian Artists: By providing business training and support, this program aims to empower Black Canadian artists to earn a decent and sustainable income within the creative art sector. This will create a supportive environment for Black entrepreneurship in Canada.
Increased Business Opportunities: Through responsive business training, resources, and connections, Black entrepreneurs and artists will have increased prospects for generating income and growing their businesses.
Enhanced Business Capacity: The program's comprehensive training equips Black artists with essential skills, confidence, knowledge, and mentorship to succeed in their artistic endeavors.
Expanded Market Access: Participation in the program will grant Black artists increased access to consumer markets for their products, services, and talents. This will create more opportunities for their artistic work to reach a wider audience.
